Devotees in large numbers throng Hazaratbal Shrine, Jamia Masjid on Last Friday of Ramadan

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KS) : On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan devotees in large numbers visited Hazratbal shrine and Jamia Masjid to offer Friday congregational prayers.

Reports reaching Kashmir Scroll said that thousands of Muslim worshippers offered Ramadan’s last Friday prayers at the grand mosque, Jama Masjid Nowhatta here in Srinagar.

The largest Friday congregational prayers were held at the Hazratbal shrine wherein thousands of devotees including men, women, and children, flocked since early Friday morning to perform the last Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan.

On this occasion, extensive preparations were made by the Waqf Board for the devotees at the Hazratbal shrine.

Officials said that around 60,000 offered Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid and over 1 lakh in Dargah Hazratbal.

Thousands of people attended the peaceful Friday prayers at the Jamia Mosque in Old City.

They prayed for peace and prosperity of the Union Territory of J&K—(KS)
