KARGIL FEBRUARY 09, 2020: In order to review the developmental activities in Sankoo Sub Division, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Baseer ul Haq Choudhary convened a meeting of the concerned officers at PWD Rest House Sankoo on Monday.

SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary, Additional SP Iftikhar Talib Choudhary, Sub Divisional Magistrate Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Chief Medical Officer Kargil Munawar Hussain Wazir, Block Development Officer Sankoo, Child Development Project Officer Taisuru, Block Medical Officer Sankoo, Zonal Education Officer Sankoo, In Charge Police Post Sankoo besides other concerned officers of the sub division were present in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner inquired from the officers about the status of different projects and schemes undergoing in the sub division.

Baseer directed the concerned officers to identify 10 schools for formation of model anganwadi centers in Tai Suru and stressed that the centers should be designed as per the local models and located within the peripheries of the mohallas, adding that the anganwadi centers should be child friendly and focus should be on mother tongue. He also directed the SDM Sankoo to frame a committee and prepare a project in this regard in consultation with CDPO, Tehsildar, ZEO and BDO concerned.

Reviewing the status of online education, the DC directed that before the opening of schools, the ZEO Sankoo should procure the online lectures from the CEO Office, Kargil and ensure its proper presentation before the students.

While taking stock of the status of KCC loans in Sankoo Sub Division, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure the allocation of KCC loans to all beneficiaries and the pending remaining cases should be immediately resolved in a timely manner.

The DC also directed the concerned officers to frame a team to undertake immediate survey of Shargandi Artificial Lake to understand its status and to formulate strategies to drill out the debris from the lake to ensure safe seepage of water so as to prevent any eventuality, adding that the process should be completed before 21st March, 2021.

With regard to the status of works under Rural Development Department, the DC directed the BDOs to clear the pending payments of skilled and non-skilled laborers within a week’s time.

Meanwhile, the DC also took review of the status of COVID-19 Vaccination in the sub division and enquired from the officers about the status of the uploading of the front line workers for the 2nd phase of vaccination.

The DC instructed the officers to work in tandem and close coordination and render their services with sheer commitment and dedication. He also directed them to take swift action on the matters discussed in the meeting so that people can get benefited from the government schemes.
