Capex Development Plan for 2022 – 23 under Area Development Fund discussed

Also reviewed progress of works under RDD

GANDERBAL MARCH 02: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a quarterly meeting of District Development Council Ganderbal to review the works taken up under District Capex Plan under Area Development Fund for the year 2021-2022, and for the preparation of the District Capex Plan for next financial year 2022-23 in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Ganderbal, ACD Ganderbal, DTO, CMO, Executive Engineers of PHE, PMGSY, R&B, PDD besides DDC members, BDC Members and PRI’s of the district.

In the outset, ACD Ganderbal highlighted the progress achieved under current financial year for MGNREGA. He also apprised the DC about the plan to be prepared for the next financial year.
The meeting was also informed that the remaining work of current financial year will be completed on war footing basis.
The meeting also discussed the identified issues hampering the works of current financial year for which the DC sought cooperation to remove all identified bottlenecks for smooth and speedy execution of the projects/schemes.

The DC impressed upon all the departments/executing agencies to ensure timely completion of all developmental works sanctioned and taken-up under Area Development Fund, 2021-22 of DDC, BDC and PRIs.
While discussing the plan formulation for 2022-23 financial year, Jyotsna instructed the officers for involving all PRIs including DDC, BDC, Sarpanchs and Panchs in identification of all priority works to be taken up in hand during next financial year 2022-23 and impressed upon the DDC’s/ BDC’s / PRI’s to take up the works with high visibility and impact on ground. She emphasized that the District Development plan should include only such works that address the issues faced by the common people.
She also impressed upon the line departments to fully cooperate with the PRIs so that the plans made are feasible.
Meanwhile, DDC’s/ BDCs /PRI’s also apprised the DC about certain issues being faced while execution of works on ground and assured them full support for sustainable and holistic development in the district.

In an another meeting the DC discussed the status of all sanctioned works of RDD in detail.

She sought details of all works and reviewed the physical and financial progress made on these work projects being executed by the department.
The DC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of works to ensure cent percent utilization of funds released and also to achieve the physical targets.
