Stresses on maintain social distancing, adopt precautionary measures

BANDIPORA, JUNE 04: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Ravinder Kumar Wednesday made a fervent appeal to the residents of Bandipora to stay indoors and adopt precautionary measures religiously to avoid getting infected by the Coronavirus.

          The Deputy Commissioner made this appeal after more positive cases were detected in past few days. The detection of more cases forced the district administration to put the order under abeyance that allowed shopkeepers to reopen their business establishments in phased manner. The markets were soon closed again in the town following detection of positive cases in the town.

          Deputy Commissioner Bandipora appealed the people to continue to adopt precautionary measures with special focus on social distancing. He asked people to stay indoors for their own safety and take all precautionary measures communicated by the health experts including use of masks, maintaining personal hygiene and follow social distancing.

          He said the war has not yet ended and people need to be alert and cautious for their well being. He assured the people that all measures are being taken by the district administration to provide better healthcare facilities to affected people. “But the people have to play the major role by staying indoors and following instructions,” he said appealing people to voluntarily come forward if they have come in contact with positive patients.

          Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner has also directed the service providers including shopkeepers to maintain a register of visitors at their shops noting their names, address and contact numbers so that it becomes easy to trace them incase any positive detection among them.

          Appealing people to wear masks strictly in public places, DC Bandipora said action will be taken against the violators. He appealed people to get out of House’s only when it is extremely necessary and get permission and wear mask.

          He said such restraint is very important to combat this Global epidemic and urged Bandiporians to follow the advisories of state Government to fight Coronavirus.
