SHOPIAN: JUN,10 : Chief  Secretary Shri BVR Subramaniyam today  visited Shopian and chaired a meeting to take  stock of developmental activities here at Circuit House Shopian. 

The meeting discussed in detail the current status of ongoing developmental activities and other programmes in the district.

During meeting Chief Secretary was appraised about the Issues pertaining to  Mega Fruit Mandi Aglar. 
 On the occasion, CS  directed the concerned agencies to ensure that the fruit Mandi should made functional before the starting of fruit season. He announced release of  ₹15 crores for development of fruit Mandi, so that it can be completed before harvesting season. 
 Tourism Department also presented vision document to CS for funding under PMDP II for infrastructure development of various tourist spots of the district.
 Chief Secretary  appreciated the efforts of the district administration despite of different kind of challenges they are facing while performing their duties. He said the district has huge scope in horticulture, agriculture  and allied sectors to boost the economy of the district.    
Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range, Atul Kumar Goel, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Syed Abid Rashid , Senior Superintendent of Police Shopian Sandeep Choudhary , 
Additional District Development Commissioner ,Additional Deputy Commissioner ,Assistant Commissioner Revenue,Assistant Commissioner Development and other district officers were present in the meeting.
