Srinagar, Aug 5 : A CRPF trooper was injured when militants attacked a patrol of paramilitary forces at Naugam area in outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday evening.
Official sources said that militants fired upon the patrol of 23 battalion CRPF, injuring a Head Constable (wireless operator). The injured has been hospitalised, they said. Meanwhile, militant organisation, Lashkar-e-Toiba owned the attacked and claimed that the forces suffered many casualties.
In a statement issued to GNS, the LeT’s spokesman Abdullah Ghanzavi said that cadres of the outfit carried the attack in which “forces suffered many casualties.”
