Ganderbal 16 May (KNZ) : Amid Covid -19,On the directions of SDM Kangan,market checking was intensified under the supervision of Tehsildar Kangan, FCS & CA Dept. And Fayaz Ahmad Food Safety Officer kangan conducted checking of different villages like Cheerwan, Bonibagh, Thune, Hariganwan , Hayin palpora & Akhal areas of Kangan Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District

During the drive a penal sum of Rs 1550 was recovered as a fine from shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities & Food Safety Act 2006, besides huge quantity of rotten vegetables,fruits and other food items were destroyed.

The SDM Kangan directed the concerned officers to intensify the market checking to ensure quality products are made available to the consumers

The team also asked the shopkeepers to put on display the approved rate lists of their items.

Local from Kangan areas appreciate the good move taken by officers and hope that such checking will be in future.

Moreover , the FBO’s were directed to Strictly Adhere the Govt approved rates & maintain Personnel hygiene & Social distancing amid Covid- 19.KNZ
