Awantipora 29 April (KNZ): Following fresh positive cases in Pulwama district, strict restrictions were imposed in Tral, Awantipora and Pampore areas on Wednesday.

Sources said that police, CRPF and volunteers were deployed in nook and corner of Tral & Awantipora areas, while as concertina wires were laid at many places to restrict the movement of people.

An official has said that restrictions were imposed with the motive to contain the spread of Covid-19, in Police District Awantipora.

He said that restrictions will continue in all the areas, with drone surveillance on Srinagar Jammu National highway.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Tahir Saleem Khan, has said that every effort is being taken to contain the spread of Covid-19 in Awantipora, Tral and Pampore.

He said that 136 vehicles have been seized by the police for violating the government orders and appealed people to stay home and not to venture out unnecessarily.KNZ
