Ganderbal set to complete 100% vaccination of above 15 age group

Srinagar, Jan 17 : Around 51 percent children above 15 have been vaccinated in Jammu and Kashmir since January 03 this month when the vaccination drive for the children above 15 was started.

As per the data available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Ganderbal, Shopian and Anantnag district in Kashmir are leading in Kashmir while Poonch district is leading in Jammu division.

As per data, out of 20,201 children above 15 in Ganderbal, 20,141 (over 99 percent) children have been vaccinated while over 98 percent in Shopian and over 96 percent in Anantnag have been given the first dose of vaccination in the 15-18 age group.

In Srinagar 31 percent of children above 15 years of age have been vaccinated, 43 percent in Kulgam, 26 percent in Bandipora, 46 percent in Baramulla, 23 percent in Kupwara, 67 percent in Pulwama and 54 percent in Budgam.

In Jammu division, 46 percent children above 15 have been vaccinated in Jammu district, 19 percent in Kishtwar, 37 percent in Doda, 56 percent in Udhampur, 48 percent in Kuthua, 44 percent in Ramban, 48 percent in Samba, 37 percent in Rajouri, 82 percent in Poonch and 31 percent in Reasi.

In total, out of 8,33,000 children above 15 years of age, 4,22,983 which is around 51 percent have been vaccinated in J&K.

Pertinently, vaccination drive for children above 15 years of age was started in J&K on 3 January—(KNO)
