Long pending demand met,Local residents thanks District Admistration and R&B department Ganderbal

Ganderbal 14 May (KNZ):The long pending demand of the people of Chappergund and adjoining areas is finally going to be fulfilled.

Chappergund-Gutlibagh road will be mecadamised in next month and the work tender will be uploaded by the R&B department in comming days.

According to reports said that Chief Engineers office Srinagar was approved mecadamised of Chappergnd-Gutlibagh road to Haidermaidan at the cost of 1 crore under the scheme of “Pot Hole”

Locals of the area said the road is in dilapidated condition from last 7 years due to which commuters were facing trouble.

This road is part of 93 MW Ganderbal power project.The road approaches to proposed water tunnel for the power project.

They said the work on the road was taken by Power Development Corporation (PDC) 7 years ago for widening and upgradation and the authorities are playing hide and seek with us.

“It is ironical that the JKPDC has failed to undertake repairs of the road.Our vehicles have been damaged due to dilapidated road,a local resident said

Talking to Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Junior Engineer Hilal Ahmad he confirmed the work tender will be uploaded in coming days and mecadamised work will be start in next month

Meanwhile,locals of Chappergund and adjoining areas have thanked the District Admistration Ganderbal and Executive Engineer R&B for taking the issue seriously.
