Bandipora, July 26 (KNZ):The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) on Wednesday organized an Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme at Government Degree College Dawar, Gurez to foster effective communication, community engagement, and outreach in the region besides informing students regarding various welfare and employment schemes available in different government sectors.

The exhibition on the theme of “9 Years: Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan” is underway from July 26 to 27 for public awareness about different public welfare schemes as well as to showcase the strides made by the government in different sectors for inclusive development of the nation.

Sub Division Magistrate Gurez Dr Mudasir was the chief guest on the occasion. He urged the participants to spread the word about the exhibition so that more people can avail benefits. Among others, Principal GDC Dawar Farooq Ahmad Mir, AD Employment Bandipora, experts from agriculture department, college staff besides a large gathering of students were present on the occasion.

The programme was organised in collaboration with GDC Dawar. The primary objective of the initiative was to strengthen the flow of information, enhance public awareness, and promote socio-economic development within the Gurez region.

On the occasion, a series of speeches were delivered by experts from different departments besides interactive sessions and panel discussions were held which focused on a variety of topics including Effective Communication Strategies, Community Engagement and Participation, Effective Utilisation of government schemes besides employment opportunities available to unemployed youth.

Field Publicity Officer, CBC Srinagar, Mohammad Sikander Qureshi on the occasion informed students that CBC is a central government department committed to promoting effective communication, transparency and accountability in governance. He further informed that CBC plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the government and the public by facilitating clear and reliable information dissemination.

AD Employment, Bandipora, on the occasion informed students that there is a vast range of government schemes available for the upliftment of the unemployed. He said that youth should take due benefits of these schemes to set up their own business units rather than only depending on government jobs.

SDM Gurez on the occasion wished best of luck to the students for their future and advised them to work hard and prioritise their career. He further suggested students to become job creaters rather than job seekers.

At the culmination of the programme, a prize distribution ceremony was held wherein the students and the participants were presented with certificates and mementos for their participation in painting competition and speeches. KNZ
