Doda, Nov 16: In yet another tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda, a 10-year-old boy, accompanied by his parents, was hit by a a mini truck on Thursday.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at GMC Doda.

CCTV footage accessed by Times Now reveals that child was crossing road while the vehicle hit him and dragged him for several meters, causing critical injuries.

Boy was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

The deceased minor boy has been identified as Nisar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal Lone and resident of village Behiyota, Marmat, district Doda

In the aftermath of the incident, authorities seized the vehicle, and the driver has been arrested.

In a similar unrelated incident, more than 100 vehicles crashed due to fog on the National Highway NH1 in Khanna, Punjab.

At least one person succumbed to the injuries and died in the mishap. While several others were wounded. Khanna city falls under the Ludhiana district of Punjab.

Due to fog in Punjab, the collision reportedly happened in an area of about 13 kilometres on the Amritsar-Delhi National Highway. The accidents happened at different places. People injured in the accident were admitted to Khanna Civil Hospital.

The vehicles collided due to dense fog in the morning. The visibility on the major portions of the highway was very low at the time the accident happened. The video of the incident has been widely shared on the internet. In the video, a white car can be seen completely crushed after hitting a truck. A Punjab Roadways bus was also involved in the accident, according to media reports.

This is not the first time that an incident like this has happened. During the winter season, fog makes it difficult for travellers to see clearly.–(TimesNowNews)
