September 15: Acting on specific information about illegal selling of subsidized kerosene oil in black market, a Police party from P/S Breewah intercepted an Alto 800 bearing registered No. JKO1J 7518 with one person on board near Sonapah, Breewah.

He has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Wani S/o Ali Mohammed Wani R/o Panchagund Breewah. On checking the vehicle, 8 cans of Kersosene oil (around 300 litres) were recovered from the vehicle. The accused has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Case FIR No. 234/2020 under relevant section of law has been registered at P/S Breewah.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused was involved in illegal selling of subsidized Kerosene oil in black market.
Source of procurement of subsidized Kerosene oil is also being investigated and the individuals involved in facilitating black marketing shall also be dealt as per law.

Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
