Budgam, JULY 24: Budgam Police seized 03 tippers, and arrested 03 persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
During Naka Checking at Wadwan crossing Budgam, Police party of Police post Soibugh intercepted 03 tippers loaded with illegally extracted soil. The accused drivers were arrested and 03 tippers with registration numbers JK01T 5151, JK01P 1657 and JK02 3061 seized on the spot. The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as:-
- Shabeer Ahmad Mir
S/o Abdul Ahad Mir R/O Russu. - Irfan Akram Mir S/o Mohammad Akram Mir R/O Bundgam.
03.Mohammad Yaseen Dar S/O Ghulam Mohammad Dar R/O Russu.
In this regard, Case FIR number 243/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
