BUDGAM: 15 dec On 10th November 2021, Police Station Magam recieved a complaint from one Mukhtar Ahmad Mir son of Adul Aziz Mir Resident of Hyderpora stating therein that during the intervening night of 06/07 November 2021, some unknown burglars broke open his shop and looted cigarettes worth more than rupees one lakh.
Upon this information, a case FIR number 242/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Magam and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, an accused involved in other theft case namely Muzaffar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar Resident of Hanjiwera pattan was rounded up who disclosed about the stolen property that lead to recovery of cigarettes worth more than Rs 1 lakh and arrest of another person namely Ibrahim Hajam son of Mohammad Qasim Hajam resident of Nehar Colony Mirgund pattan. The investigation of the instant case is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected.
Budgam Police warns of strict action against those individuals found involved in any kind of criminal activity.
