Samba, Nov 09 (KS) : A BSF jawan was injured in cross-border firing on border outposts (BoPs) along the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s Samba district after Pakistani Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in the Ramgarh and Arnia sectors late last night.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that in the cross border firing one BSF Jawan identified as Lal Farnn Kima was injured.

The officer said a 28-year-old BSF jawan with a bullet injury was immediately taken to CHC hospital Ramgrah where after first aid, he has been shifted to Military hospital for advanced treatment.

Meanwhile, BSF in a statement issued to News Agency Kashmir Scroll said that it gave a befitting response to the Pakistan Rangers for the ceasefire violation and unprovoked firing on their posts.

During night intervening 8/9 Nov 2023, Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in Ramgarh area which was befittingly responded by BSF troops.(KS)
