Ganderbal 09 Nov : SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, has directed officers to establish routine naka checking across District Ganderbal, in this connection a routine naka checking was laid at Shuhama crossing by naka party from Police Post Nagbal headed by DO PP Nagbal SI Mohd Akbar under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS. During checking vehicles one suspicious scooty rider was intervened, while intervention he tried to dodge the naka party by his lies about his consignment, later while searching properly 75 bottles of illicit liquor namely “OLDE ADVENTURE RUM” each bottle 750ml in quantity was recovered from his possession.

Bootlegger has been identified as Ali Gulzar Bhat S/O Ali Mohd Bhat R/O Alamgari Bazar Hawal, Srinagar has been apprehended, 75 bottles of illicit liquor and his Scooty bearing registration No. JK-01 AB 7833 has also been seized.

In this connection a case FIR No. 228/2020 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation is taken up.
