Ganderbal, 10 July:On the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, Food Safety Kashmir, an awareness program was organised today for service providers preparing food for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims.

The program aimed to sensitise stakeholders about maintaining hygiene, proper storage conditions, and adherence to food safety standards during the yatra.

Inspector Food, Fayaz Ahmad, along with other officers from the department, interacted with the service providers, highlighting the importance of safe food practices to ensure the health and well-being of the pilgrims.

The officers also conducted on-spot checks and provided practical demonstrations on food handling and sanitation.

The department emphasised its commitment to ensuring that pilgrims receive hygienic and safe food during the ongoing yatra.
