Ganderbal 15 Jan (KNZ):After back to back avalanches at Sarbal area of Sonamarg in Ganderbal District and Avalanche warning issued by Disaster management Authority.
SDM Kangan Javaid Ahmad Rather issued ordered to MEIL and APCO companies not carry any execution of work and advise their labourer not to venture and limit their movement.
Oder also reads ,Pursuant to the advisory,Avalanche Warning issued by Jammu Kashmir State Disaster Management Authority (JKSDMA), wherein prediction of Avalanche with medium danger level has been made in the areas above 2000 meters in some districts Including district Ganderbal in next 24 hours
It is hereby ordered that the construction agencies viz MEIL, APCO shall not carry any execution work and also advise their labourers not to venture and limit their movement.
Besides, Project Manager MEIL is directed to shift the labourers camped at Sarbal to safer locations.KNZ
