Budgam, Oct 14 (KNO): Barely a few hours after a Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) constable went missing from a Budgam camp, a Special Police Officer (SPO) deserted his camp along with two AK-47 riffle in Chadoora area of the same district, officials said Wednesday.

An SPO constable posted at SOG camp Chadoora went missing with two AK47 rifles from his camp in Budgam district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the SPO identified as Altaf Hussain Bhat, son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat a resident of Qazipora, Chadoora in district Budgam went missing from his SOG camp in Chadoora, and he was working as SPO from last five years.

He said that the constable has also decamped with two AK47 rifles and three AK 47 Magazines from the camp.

The official said that a missing report has been filed at police station Chadoora and investigation has been started. He said a massive manhunt has been launched to trace the missing constable.

Earlier in the morning, a SSB constable identified as Altaf Hussain posted at Nagam area of Chadoora, went missing along with his INSAS riffle—(KNO)
