Ramban29 Oct:One absconder namely Manzoor Ahmed S/O Anayat ullah R/O Hayama, Kupwara Tehsil & District Kupwara who was booked in case FIR No. 84/2010 u/s 8/20/29 NDPS ACT Of Police Station Batote but was evading his arrest for the last 09 years, has finally been arrested.
Distt Police Ramban was looking for the person from last 09 years and finally an information was received through reliable sources about the accused. Acting quickly on the information, a special police team of P/S Batote headed by SHO Batote Insp Ajeet Singh under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen, DySP Hqrs Ramban and overall supervision of Ms P D Nitya, IPS, SSP Ramban, was constituted. The team so constituted finally arrested the accused person from Kupwara.
District Police Ramban is working hard to nab all the absconders and a special drive has been started in this regard.
