Unknown persons on Monday evening attacked the residence of former lawmaker at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports said that unknown persons hurled a grenade at the residence of former Peoples Democratic Party MLA Abdul Razaq Wagay at Zawoora village around 7:25 pm.

The grenade, however, exploded outside the house, causing no injuries or loss of life, they said.

Wagay, who is presently putting up in Srinagar told Greater Kashmir that his family at his native residence heard a blast like sound.

He, however, said that they were not sure if it was a grenade blast
