Ganderbal 10 May (KNZ):District Mineral Officer Ganderbal (DMO) Majid Aziz Bhat has seized 13 vehicles used in illegal mining and transportation of raw materials from different areas of Ganderbal District during the night raids.
A team of officials from Geology and Mining Department Ganderbal laid a major crackdown at various locations of Ganderbal with the assistantnce of SHO Ganderbal Manzoor Ahmad and DO Shuhama Rakesh Pandita and seized 13 vehicles for illegal mining and transporting illegally.
DMO Ganderbal Majid Aziz told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ news agency that he along with his team conducted raids in different areas of the district to check illegal mining, extraction and transportation of raw materials.
During this night raids 13 vehicles including 11 tippers, 1 dumper and a Tata Mobile used in illegal mining, transportation of raw materials illegally extracted were seized.
These vehicles were being used in illegal mining, extraction, transportation of raw materials illegally extracted during this operation.KNZ
