Ganderbal Sept 13【KNZ】:Scores of casual labourers of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District  staged protest on Wednesday demanding regularization of their service which were promised to them.

The workers under the banner of PDD Daily Wagers Union Ganderbal led by PDD district president Fayaz Ahmad assembled at public park beehama and started protest demonstration against Govt. and holding placards and marched from beehama chowk to Mini-secretariate Ganderbal.

While talking to Kashmir Based News Agency “KASHMIR NEWS ZONE” District President PDD Casual Labourers Fayaz Ahmad said that the authorities should regularize the services of casual labours without further delay.”

He said “we are facing so many problems while repairing the damaged lines due to which our men accidentally gets handicapped.”

He said Govt.should drafted new policy for PDP labourers and for those who have already became victims of such consequences during the past.

He said “Government has failed to address the issues of thousands of casual labourers of Power development Department who are suffering due to the delay caused by authorities.

Mohammad Maqbool JKCCTU president said that the workers of different departments has been struggling from a long time to seek justice but the workers are always being neglected and instead of so many assurance, practically nothing is being done by the state Govt. As a result the workers of different departments are facing acute problems.

Later, the protest rally was dispersed peacefully after they registered their demands at DC Office Ganderbal.【KNZ】
