Gunfight rages in Gurez forests

Srinagar: A gunfight between suspected militants and government forces raged in forest area of Gurez sector in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district Thursday.
Sources said that Army had launched a massive search operation at Dhurmut forest area at Kundalwan in Gurez after noticing suspicious movement.
They said that during the searches, Army intercepted a group of militants this morning triggering a gunfight.
The gunfight was underway when reports last came in. (Agencies)
