Srinagar, Aug 27: Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo on Monday asked the administrators of all the Private Schools to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court of India regarding the transport facilities and ensure the safety of the students and taking the parents into confidence.

Reviewing the transport facilities being provided to the students of Private Schools, the Director according to GNS asked the administrators of all the Private Schools to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the top court in letter and spirit.

He passed the instructions after a meeting with the representatives of Private Schools in the Conference Hall of Directorate of School Education Kashmir.

Talking about the directions of the Supreme Court DSEK told the representatives of the Private Schools to keep strict vigil on the overloaded school buses and direct those bus drivers to do away with that practice. In order to streamline the transport system in schools, DSEK asked the representatives of Private Schools to submit their suggestions to the Department in this regard by 30th August 2018.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of Private Schools and some senior officers of the Department.

DSEK also appraised the meeting about the guidelines issued by the Divisional Administration regarding the issues pertaining to transport facilities for students in private schools and directed them to adhere to these guidelines and the directions from the Department in order to make sure the safe transport facility for the students.
