Lethpora, 26 Dec:The Zonal Level Firing Competition concluded successfully today at the Central Training Centre (CTC), Lethpora, showcasing high standards of marksmanship, discipline, and professional excellence among police personnel.

The closing ceremony was graced by DIG IRP Range Kashmir, Shri Junaid Mahmood, IPS, as the Chief Guest, who distributed certificates to the winners and outstanding performers. He congratulated the participants for their commendable performance and emphasized the importance of such competitions in sharpening firing skills, enhancing operational readiness, and promoting professionalism within the force.

The winners in various weapon categories were as follows:

AK-47: Shri Ghulam Hassan, SP (Dy Commandant), IRP 23rd Battalion

Pistol: Shri Ashiq Hussain Tak, SSP (Dy Commandant), IRP 6th Battalion

INSAS Rifle: Sgct. Farooq Ahmad, IRP 23rd Battalion

JVPC: HC Surinder Singh, JKAP 14th Battalion

Overall First Position: Sgct. Farooq Ahmad (No. 227), IRP 23rd Battalion
