Officials said that immediately after the video came to light, an inquiry committee was constituted to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident. The committee has been directed to submit its report by 11:00 am on December 20, 2025, underscoring the administration’s prompt response to the matter.

As per an official order, the inquiry committee comprises:

Prof. (Dr) Abdul Qayoom Lone, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia

Prof. (Dr) Rafiq Ahmad Tagoo, Head of the Department of Dentistry

Sources said the committee will examine issues related to the availability and functionality of diagnostic services, adherence to standard operating procedures for patient transfer, and coordination among various hospital departments.

The findings of the inquiry are expected to help identify lapses, if any, and guide corrective measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents. The administration has maintained that appropriate action will be taken based on the inquiry report, should it be warranted.
