Ganderbal 23 May (KNZ):In a tragic incident reported from the Paribal Shallabugh area of Ganderbal, a forest guard reportedly slipped into the fast-flowing Nallah Sindh during duty hours on friday. The missing individual has been identified as Shameem Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a resident of Batwina, Ganderbal.
Soon after the incident, a massive rescue operation was launched involving teams from the Ganderbal Police, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local volunteers, and the Forest Department. Despite challenging conditions, the search continues relentlessly in hopes of locating the missing guard.
Speaking to the Kashmir News Zone-KNZ News Agency, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Ganderbal, Iqbal Rasool Dar (IFS), stated, “We are making every possible effort to trace Shameem Ahmad Mir. Teams are on the ground, and the community’s response has been commendable.”
