Ganderbal:Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, on Saturday chaired a comprehensive Crime and Security Review Meeting at the Conference Hall, DPO Ganderbal, bringing together GOs, SHOs, In-charges of Police Posts, Investigating Officers, and other senior district officers to assess the law-and-order scenario.

During the meeting, SSP Poswal laid special focus on the effective implementation of the New Criminal Laws (NCL). He outlined a detailed roadmap to enhance public awareness about the benefits of the new laws, and directed officers to ensure their proper and timely application to uphold justice in a victim-centric manner. He stressed that the new legal framework must translate into practical benefits for every citizen.

Addressing key security concerns, SSP Ganderbal urged officers to intensify efforts against the drug menace and to adopt robust measures to effectively tackle cybercrimes. He also issued clear instructions for the speedy disposal of pending UAPA and NDPS cases to strengthen the district’s legal response.

Senior officers and field heads briefed the SSP on the prevailing security situation in their respective jurisdictions. A detailed discussion was held on strategies to counter emerging challenges and adversarial threats. SSP Poswal emphasized the need for strong coordination and synergy with all security forces operating in the district to maintain peace and stability.

The meeting concluded with the SSP appreciating the officers for their dedicated efforts and encouraging them to continue working with professionalism and commitment.
