GANDERBAL, 08th August 2025:As part of the Civic Action Programme of the J&K Police, a group of 85 students from various parts of District Ganderbal embarked today on a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour. The initiative aims to broaden the horizons of local youth by exposing them to the cultural diversity, historical heritage, and industrial achievements of the country.

The impressive flag-off ceremony was held at District Police Lines (DPL) Ganderbal, where SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS), accompanied by DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal, Shri Nazir Ahmad, formally sent off the group. Senior police officers were also present to witness the occasion.

While interacting with the touring students, SSP Poswal highlighted that the Bharat Darshan Tour is designed to foster national unity by enabling youth to witness the beauty of India’s diversity firsthand. He encouraged the students to seize this opportunity to enhance their knowledge, visit iconic historical sites, and appreciate the greatness of the nation. He further wished them a fun-filled, safe, and life-changing experience.

During the tour, the students will visit Mumbai and New Delhi, exploring historical monuments, heritage sites, parks, and other prominent landmarks. The J&K Police has arranged air travel, AC accommodation, AC coaches, and full boarding facilities for the participants. Each student has been provided with a travel kit containing a customized tracksuit, shoes, cap, and carry bag. A dedicated guide will accompany the group to make the trip both educational and memorable.

Parents and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ganderbal Police for this unique opportunity, praising the department’s efforts in empowering the youth and nurturing their understanding of the country’s cultural richness.
