Ganderbal, November 21:In continuation of its ongoing crackdown against illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Ganderbal Police has seized nine vehicles involved in unlawful mining activities across different locations falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal, Police Station Gund, and Police Post Shadipora.

 

The vehicles were intercepted while transporting minor minerals without valid permission and were seized on the spot by police teams in close coordination with officials from the Geology & Mining Department.

 

Authorities emphasized that illegal mining not only causes a significant loss to the public exchequer but also poses serious threats to the environment and natural resources. The police reaffirmed their commitment to taking stern action against all individuals involved in such activities.

 

Ganderbal Police urged the general public to refrain from unlawful mining practices, warning that strict legal action will be taken against violators in accordance with the law.
