Ganderbal, Sep 19:In a major success, Ganderbal Police arrested an absconder who had been evading legal proceedings for the last four years.
The accused, Zahoor Ahmad Lone, son of Mohd. Ramzan Lone and resident of Preng, Kangan, was wanted by the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri, in a case registered under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Despite repeated warrants, he consistently avoided court appearances and remained at large.
Acting on specific inputs, a dedicated team from Police Station Kangan tracked down and apprehended the absconder on 18.09.2025. Following his arrest, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri, for further legal proceedings.
Ganderbal Police reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the rule of law, emphasizing that no offender can escape the due course of justice.
