Ganderbal, Nov 1(KNZ) : A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sessions Court Ganderbal for murdering his wife in 2020, police said on Saturday.
The convict, Abdul Majeed Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan and resident of Gounchi Mohalla, Akhal Kangan, was found guilty in FIR No. 50/2020 registered under sections 302 and 201 of the IPC at Police Station Kangan, police said in a statement.
The conviction follows a detailed investigation and strong evidence produced before the court, the police added.
“This conviction underscores Ganderbal Police’s commitment to ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law,” the statement said.(KNZ)
