Ganderbal, Mar 14(KNZ): A 65-year-old man from Tulmullah area of Ganderbal district died after receiving a severe electric shock on Saturday, officials said.
An official told Kashmir News Zone that The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Nabi Bhat, son of Abdul Gafoor Bhat, a resident of Tulmullah, Ganderbal.
Bhat was cutting tree branches at his home when an 11 KV electric line suddenly fell on him, causing a severe electric shock.
He was immediately rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment. However, doctors at the hospital examined him and declared him brought dead on arrival.they said,
Meanwhile, authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway.(KNZ)
