Doda, May 27 (JKNS): A labourer working at the under-construction multilevel car parking site at the new bus stand in Doda town was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday morning.
Official sources told news agency JKNS, the body of the deceased was recovered from the labourers’ residential quarter near the construction site.
The deceased, who hailed from Odisha, was employed as a Wormias worker at the ongoing multilevel car parking project in Doda.
Soon after receiving information, police reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for post-mortem. A forensic team also visited the site and collected necessary samples,
They said that a case has been registered and investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of death. “So far, no suspicion has been raised. The cause will be confirmed after the post-mortem report,” they added. (JKNS)
