Ganderbal, Aug 14 (KNZ): Traffic on the Srinagar–Ganderbal–Sonamarg/Ladakh route has been fully restored via the Kijipora Bridge Diversion after it was damaged earlier today due to heavy rains and rising water levels in Wangat Nala.
The diversion, located near the dumping site in Kangan, had suffered damage that forced authorities to halt vehicular movement in both directions until BEACON engineers assessed the situation.
OC BRO 122 RCC Gaurav Tripathi confirmed to Kashmir News Zone (KNZ) that the diversion has been completely repaired and traffic is now moving smoothly in both directions.
Earlier, BRO 122 RCC swiftly deployed men and machinery to repair the damaged diversion.
Late in the night, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal visited the site along with Gaurav Tripathi to oversee the restoration works.KNZ
