Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNZ): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Zulfikar Mohd Shafi, District Mineral Officer Baramulla, as the Executive Magistrate for Baramulla district, according to an official notification issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (Power Section).
The appointment has been made in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. As Executive Magistrate, Shafi will exercise all powers vested in the post within his territorial jurisdiction of Baramulla district.
The appointment is expected to strengthen administrative and magisterial oversight in Baramulla, particularly in matters relating to law, order, and regulatory enforcement.KNZ
