Pulwama, Nov 30, KNT: A domestic mishap inside a CRPF camp in the Murran belt of Pulwama district left two personnel with burn injuries on Sunday, prompting their evacuation to a Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
Officials said the incident occurred inside the living quarters of the unit when a heating device caught fire, resulting in injuries to two jawans present at the site at the time. The injured were immediately evacuated to District Hospital Pulwama, where doctors provided emergency care before referring them to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further management.
Sources said one of the personnel sustained serious burn injuries, while the other received comparatively minor burns. Both were stated to be out of danger.
Authorities have launched an internal inquiry to determine whether the incident was caused by an electrical fault or mishandling of the equipment. [KNT]
