Ganderbal, October 18:In a major breakthrough in its continued crackdown on long-time fugitives, Ganderbal Police has apprehended another absconder who had been evading arrest for nearly 27 years.

The arrested individual has been identified as Lateef Ahmad Khuroo, son of Habibullah Khuroo, resident of Bemina, Srinagar, who was wanted in case FIR No. 69/1998 under sections 457 and 380 RPC.

Acting on specific information, a special operation was launched by Ganderbal Police leading to the successful arrest of the absconder. The accused was subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court of JMIC Ganderbal for further legal proceedings.

A police spokesperson stated that this operation underscores Ganderbal Police’s relentless efforts to trace and bring all absconders to justice, reaffirming its commitment to uphold law, order, and accountability in the district.

Ganderbal Police has once again sent a strong message — No fugitive can hide forever from the arm of the law.
