Ganderbal, Sept 09:Continuing its sustained action against illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Ganderbal Police, in coordination with the Geology & Mining Department, on Tuesday seized one tipper and two tractors engaged in unlawful mining activities.
The vehicles, found illegally loaded with minor minerals extracted from Nallah Sindh, were intercepted within the jurisdiction of PS Gund and PS Lar. The seized vehicles include:

Tractor: JK16A/4245
Tractor (Chassis No: NRD6C7E0201)
Officials said that such decisive actions reaffirm the administration’s commitment to safeguard natural resources and curb the menace of illegal mining, which poses a serious threat to the environment.
Police have urged the public to support the ongoing drive by reporting any such illegal activities. Authorities assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential and strict legal action will follow against violators.
