Ganderbal,07th August:In a decisive step towards maintaining peace and public order, Ganderbal Police today conducted coordinated and legally sanctioned searches at multiple bookshops across the district to prevent the circulation of banned literature linked to proscribed organizations.
The operation focused particularly on sensitive areas falling under the jurisdiction of Police Stations Ganderbal, Safapora, Lar, Gund, Kangan, and Police Posts Nagbal and Shadipora. Searches were carried out in a professional and systematic manner, strictly adhering to all legal protocols.
During the drive, bookshop owners were strictly warned against stocking or distributing any form of prohibited content. They were also sensitized about the serious legal repercussions of such activities and instructed to comply fully with the prescribed guidelines.
Ganderbal Police reiterates its firm commitment to maintaining law, order, and communal harmony in the region. Citizens are urged to stay vigilant, refrain from engaging with or circulating banned material, and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station without delay.
