Ganderbal, November 10:Continuing its strong campaign against the growing menace of drug abuse, Ganderbal Police on Monday organized a “Drug Awareness Programme” at Government Degree College, Kangan under the Civic Action Programme (CAP).

The event was chaired by SDPO Kangan Shri Rajeev Raina (JKPS), accompanied by Principal Prof. Sadaf Nazir and other senior police officers. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local youth.

During the session, speakers shed light on the devastating effects of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society. They also emphasized the vital role of parents, teachers, and law enforcement agencies in preventing substance abuse and guiding youth toward a healthier, more productive future.

Participants lauded the initiative of Ganderbal Police for taking proactive steps to create awareness and encourage community involvement in combating drug addiction.

As part of the event, mementos and certificates of appreciation were presented to participants for their active involvement and commitment to the cause.

Reaffirming its dedication, Ganderbal Police reiterated its resolve to continue its war against drugs through community outreach programmes, awareness drives, and strict legal action against drug peddlers in the district.
