Ganderbal, Otober 27:To mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the District Police Ganderbal organized a series of programmes across the district to pay rich tributes to the “Iron Man of India” and to spread awareness about his immense contributions toward national unity and integrity.
As part of the celebrations, a thematic programme on “Achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Life” was held at Boys High School Sonamarg, where students highlighted the great leader’s pivotal role in the unification of India and his vision of a strong and united nation.
An Essay Competition was also conducted at Public Higher Secondary School Watlar, inspiring young minds to reflect upon Patel’s leadership qualities, his patriotism, and his lasting legacy in shaping modern India.
In addition, an Awareness Programme on Vigilance Week was organized at Syed Maqsood Model School Khurhama, emphasizing the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in public life.
To further engage with the community, a comprehensive Awareness Programme on Nasha Mukht Abhiyan and Zero FIR/E-FIR was held at Qamariya Park Ganderbal, aimed at sensitizing the youth and general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the mechanisms available for accessible justice.
