GANDERBAL, July 1:Ganderbal Police, in a swift action to ensure the security of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2025), apprehended an individual at Baltal for using a fake Yatra registration card to illegally bypass security checks.
The accused has been identified as Shivam Mittal, son of Krishan Mittal, resident of Dwarka Puri, Jagadhri, Yamunanagar, Haryana. Police said the individual had procured the forged Yatra card through fraudulent means to deceive security personnel.
Following the incident, FIR No. 13/2025 was registered at Police Station Sonamarg and a detailed investigation has been taken up.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining the sanctity and safety of the Yatra, warning of strict legal action against those indulging in such illegal practices.
