Ganderbal, 19 July 2025:To ensure full safety and smooth arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Ganderbal Police conducted a large mock drill on important points of the Yatra route today.
The drill included practice for different emergency situations like terror attacks, stampedes, medical problems, evacuation during natural disasters, and crowd control. The aim was to check how quickly and effectively all the security forces and other agencies can respond in case of an emergency. Teams from J&K Police, CAPFs, ITBP, SDRF, and civil administration took part in the exercise.
The mock drill was carried out at sensitive locations where quick action is needed during any crisis. The focus was on good coordination between agencies, proper communication, and following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Senior officers supervised the drill, checked the readiness of the teams, and shared important feedback to improve the overall arrangements.
The drill was done without disturbing the movement of pilgrims or causing trouble to the public. Ganderbal Police thanked the public for their cooperation.
The police have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to provide a safe and peaceful Yatra experience for all devotees.
