Ganderbal, 8 Feb :In a decisive action against illegal gambling, Ganderbal Police arrested two individuals at Narayan-Bagh under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora.
The accused have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Malik, son of Mohd Ismail Malik, resident of Gamwara, Wakura, and Manzoor Ahmad Khan, son of Jalal-u-din Khan, resident of Narayan-Bagh.
During the raid, police recovered stake money amounting to Rs. 3,370/- along with a deck of playing cards from the spot.
Consequently, FIR No. 19/2026 under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal, and further investigation is in progress.
Ganderbal Police reaffirmed its commitment to curbing illegal activities and appealed to the public to report any such incidents to the authorities.
