Srinagar, Mar 5 (KNZ): A fire broke out in the Wangath Conservation Reserve, a wildlife protected area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, on Thursday, officials said.
Officials said the blaze was reported from the forest area, prompting an immediate response from the Forest Department.
“Fire has been reported in the Wangath Conservation Reserve. Our staff is rushing to the spot and the Wildlife Department staff have also been informed,” the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) said.
Teams from the Forest Department, along with wildlife officials, have rushed towards the site to assess the situation and initiate efforts to control the fire, officials said.(KNZ)
