SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS Chairs the Session

Ganderbal, June 15:As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Police-Public relations and address community concerns, District Police Ganderbal on Saturday organised a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the BDO Office and was chaired by SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS.

The gathering saw active participation from various sections of the community, including members of market associations, Auqaf committees, chowkidars, lumberdars, panchs, sarpanchs, local youth, and other prominent citizens. Senior officers of District Police Ganderbal also attended the meeting.

Participants appreciated the initiative, which provided a platform to raise pressing social issues such as drug abuse, domestic violence, and other community-related concerns. The interactive forum allowed for constructive dialogue and encouraged collaborative problem-solving.

SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal patiently listened to public grievances and assured attendees that all genuine issues pertaining to other departments would be forwarded to the concerned authorities for appropriate action. Police-related concerns, he added, would be addressed on a priority basis.

In his address, the SSP highlighted the crucial role of public cooperation in ensuring peace and security. He urged all stakeholders to assist the police in curbing criminal activities, particularly drug trafficking and other illegal practices, and to report any suspicious activities promptly.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks exchanged between police officials and community representatives, reflecting mutual trust and commitment to maintaining social harmony and law and order in the district.
