Ganderbal, June 3 — On the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, District Development Council (DDC) member for Kangan-C, Mudasir Majeed, extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people, especially the Kashmiri Pandit community, as devotees gathered at the historic Tulmulla temple in Ganderbal to celebrate the sacred festival.
In his message, Mudasir Majeed highlighted the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, calling Mela Kheer Bhawani a symbol of communal harmony and shared traditions. He emphasized the importance of preserving the unity and brotherhood that define the Valley’s unique ethos.
“I extend my warmest greetings to all on the occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani. May this festival bring peace, prosperity, and renewed hope for all communities in Jammu and Kashmir,” Mudasir Majeed said.
The Mela, dedicated to Goddess Ragnya Devi, draws thousands of devotees every year to the sacred shrine at Tulmulla. This year too, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with local administration and security agencies ensuring smooth conduct of the festivities.
Mudasir Majeed also praised the efforts of civil society, volunteers, and local residents for facilitating a peaceful and inclusive environment for the yatris, reflecting the spirit of Kashmiriyat.
He reiterated his commitment to strengthening communal harmony and working for the inclusive development of the region.
